Catching Up with Big Sean, 2011-2013

by Mosi Reeves  |  August 31, 2013

Hall of Fame may be Big Sean's first album in over two years, but the Detroit-to-L.A. rapper has stayed in our consciousness during that time with dozens of cameos. In effect, he's given us a few albums' worth of music, from smash collaborations with Justin Bieber ("As Long As You Love Me"), Lil Wayne ("My Homies Still") and Kelly Rowland ("Lay It On Me") to Hall of Fame teaser singles like "Guap" and "Beware." He even managed to earn grudging respect from his legion of haters with a burner verse on Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Music romp "Mercy." At nearly three hours long, this palate-cleanser sets us up for the next stage in Big Sean's hitmaking career.
