Celebrating 50 Years of Fania

by Judy Cantor-Navas  |  June 21, 2014

In 1964, Johnny Pacheco and Jerry Masucci created the label that would change both the course of Latin music and its impact around the world. The artists who came together for endless euphoric nights in New York not only developed the signature fusion of sounds that would come to be known as salsa but also gave us boogaloo and their own irresistible brand of Latin jazz and funk. With over 50 tracks from a catalog that's as fresh as the day these songs were recorded, we celebrate a half-century of Fania. The legend lives on.
