Celebrity Picks: The Naked and Famous
by Rhapsody | October 6, 2013
New Zealand alt pop band The Naked and Famous have quickly made an impression on radio and in Hollywood. Their tracks have appeared on TV and in films, from The Vampire Diaries to Grey's Anatomy to 2012's Pitch Perfect, so their move to Los Angeles after the release of their debut only made sense. Never ones to settle, however, they crossed seas yet again to record their just-released sophomore effort, [In Rolling Waves], which was mixed by Alan Moulder at his Assault & Battery studio in London. Working with him was a dream realized, as all the band's members are fans of Moulder's work as a producer and mixer of many classic alternative albums since the late 1980s. In the attached playlist, they offer up some of their favorite Moulder-assisted tracks.
