Deadmau5 spends so much time trolling his critics and peers, it's easy to forget that the guy also makes music. His fourth major album catches him at a turning point, caught between the entirely serviceable, occasionally transcendent rave bangers for which he's best known and the pop crossover that EDM's corporate overlords increasingly demand. Collabs with My Chemical Romance's Gerard Way and Cypress Hill sound like you'd expect; the instrumental cuts cross Daft Punk funk with bubblicious prog-house, while "Take Care of the Proper Paperwork" shows off his sound-design chops.
