FYF Fest 2013

In its 10th installment, L.A.'s FYF Festival has become a proven hit -- dare we say it's even become a fair rival to SoCal's other predominant music extravaganza, the mighty Coachella? Perhaps, especially with a lineup that boasts a revitalized My Bloody Valentine, and indie festival favorites like Yeah Yeah Yeahs, TV on the Radio, Beach House and MGMT. But the hipster cred extends well beyond those big names, with lovable oddballs like Devendra Banhart, Roky Erickson and Les Savy Fav; piercing punks like Flag (performing the songs of Black Flag, of course), Melvins, METZ and L.A.'s own No Age; electronic innovators like Dan Deacon, Classixx, and Nosaj Thing; and many more purveyors of classic indie rock (The Breeders! Playing all of Last Splash!), blissful chillwave, bouncy electro-pop, searing soul and irreverent hip-hop. Join in the fun with our FYF playlist.
