Hot Rap Singles: June 2014

by Mosi Reeves  |  June 14, 2014

This month's installment of new rap joints is led by Lil Wayne's "Believe Me," which some are touting as his "comeback" record despite the fact that his last album, 2013's critically reviled I Am Not a Human Being II, still went gold. Maybe this is the first Weezy song in years that everyone agrees is actually good. Less surprisingly, there's a new would-be summer anthem from DJ Khaled, "They Don't Love You No More," which guest stars Jay Z, another rap kingpin everyone loves to hate. In Jigga-related news, DJ Mustard cements his Roc Nation affiliation with "Down On Me." Nicki Minaj continues to prep for The Pink Print with her first teaser, "Pills N Potions." No date yet on Lupe Fiasco's Tetsuo & Youth, so for now he's got "Mission." Also in the delayed album department is A$AP Mob's L.O.R.D., which will presumably include "Hella Hoes." There's also T.I.'s "About the Money," Waka Flocka Flame's "Slippin'," Young Jeezy's "Me OK" and Birdman's Rich Gang project's "Lifestyle."
