With a summer as hot as this one has been, there are two ways for dance music fans to get through it. You can indulge in sweet, melodic tunes that make you feel like you're floating on air, or you can just friggin' go for it, and let kick drums and synth stabs pummel you into a contentedly sweaty puddle. We've got both options for you in this month's EDM roundup. We kick things off with Ellie Goulding's soaring new single "Burn," and the lighters-in-the-air uplift continues with Smokey Jones' "Lightning (Sidney Samson Edit)," Armin van Buuren and Sophie Ellis Bextor's "Not Giving Up on Love," and Morgan Page's Outfield cover, "Your Love." But there is no shortage of high-octane cuts to work you into a lather, as Sander van Doorn, Shermanology, Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso and their main-stage pals kick out the anthems. And if your heart rate's getting too high, trap-flavored tunes from Iggy Azalea and Gregor Salto, Flux Pavilion and Flosstradamus, and Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike should slow the tempo just enough to let you catch your breath.
