Label Spotlight: Bad Boy

by Nick Murray  |  June 12, 2013

Whether or not Puffy wrote rhymes (or just checks), his label was responsible for some of the biggest hits of the '90s and early aughts, everything from Craig Mack's "Flava in Ya Ear" (Bad Boy's first release) to 112's "Peaches & Cream," G. Dep's "Special Delivery" and beyond. Although Bad Boy continues putting out the occasional classic -- in 2010 it offered both Janelle Monáe's future-funk The ArchAndroid and Diddy-Dirty Money's dance-influenced Last Train to Paris -- this playlist focuses on its first decade, an era as golden as the suit the label head himself rocked in the "Been Around the World" music video.
