Some speculate that June is the most popular month for weddings because the weather is so good. When the weather is good, the flowers are in abundance and are, therefore, cheap. Then there's the whole "June is named after Juno, the Roman goddess of marriage" thing. But the theory that makes us laugh the hardest is the notion of an annual bath. "What is that?" you may ask. Well apparently back in the day, taking a bath was a once-a-year kind of thing. Usually in June. No lie. So the smart kids tied the knot while they smelled good: makes for better kissing possibilities, or at least makes the first dance more bearable. And one of the most cherished highlights of any wedding celebration is that first dance. Choosing the song for this ritual can be one of the most difficult tasks for a couple. We've made a playlist that might offer some inspiration. We've picked rock, R&B, country, indie and soul songs -- all sticky sweet, with heartfelt emotion. Hit "play" and get your (first) dance on!
