New Release Sampler, 1/21/14

by Linda Ryan  |  January 26, 2014

Plenty of new releases this week, including A Great Big World's debut, Is There Anybody Out There, which features their hit with Christina Aguilera, "Say Something." These guys went from a Kickstarter-funded EP to selling 1.9 million downloads with that track, so you might want to give the rest of the album a listen. Meanwhile Los Lonely Boys' Revelation is a tasty slice of Latin-tinged pop and rock; "There's Always Tomorrow" is an upbeat reminder that life is short ("There's always tomorrow, but if I don't wake up, what did I leave behind?") with plenty of Beatles-esque nuances. Want something a little noiser? Try Deaf Havana's Boston Square. Their blue-collar rock comes with arena-sized hooks that go on for days. Also check out new singles from Drive-By Truckers, Rascal Flatts, Rufus Wainwright and more.
