New Release Sampler, 4/15/14

Good news: We're not here to collect your taxes -- we just want to offer you some brand-new music. Aren't we nice? This week, we have pop sensation Jason Derulo's newest album, Talk Dirty ; songs such as "Wiggle" and the title track have Derulo channeling his inner sexy, à la R. Kelly. Ziggy Marley steps out of his comfort zone on some tracks for Fly Rasta -- we're talking lots of electric guitars and power chords. And we can't believe it's been 16 years since alt rock stalwarts Afghan Whigs released an album. Their Do to the Beast sees the band doing what they do best: blistering, angsty (dare we say, grunge-y) rock filtered through classic R&B. Meanwhile, Christian rockers Needtobreathe dish up some tasty tunes, too, with Rivers in the Wasteland -- we particularly like the loose, earthy feel of "Oh, Carolina." We've also got new singles from soul chanteuse Estelle, singer-songwriter Ray LaMontagne, U.K. teen Birdy, Brit boy band Rixton and more.
