New Release Sampler, 9/17/2013

This week is full of weird, random and delicious goodies to help add a bit of sunshine to the impending autumnal equinox. Of course, our favorite beach bum, Jack Johnson, is perfect for keeping that summer feeling alive. He's back with a new album, From Here to Now to You, and single "I Got You," an acoustic folk pop tune so warm and cuddly you'll almost feel white sand tickling your toes. Or, if you're more the dance-your-pain-away type, head straight to new release True by Swedish super-DJ Avicii, who has moved past the ubiquitous "Levels" to put together a truly eclectic debut.
Next stop is Mars with MGMT's further exploration into otherworldly psych-pop with tracks like "Alien Days" off their third album. From there, discover MGMT acolytes The Naked and Famous and Grouplove, both back with sparkling and bouncy new alt rock releases of their own. Meanwhile, country fans can find new music from a triumvirate of Nashville studs, including Justin Moore, Chris Young and Billy Currington. If you're looking for the most awesome matchup of the week, check out Wise Up Ghost, a collaboration between Elvis Costello and The Roots. And oh, yeah, Britney's back, b*tches, with none other than "Work B*tch." All this and much more in this week's New Release Sampler.
