The XXX Olympiad has come and gone, leaving us with nothing but the memories, pleasant and unpleasant, athletic and musical. Yes, Sunday night's Closing Ceremonies were a surreal romp through U.K. pop history, from The Spice Girls to Kate Bush to John Lennon to George Michael. It didn't always make a whole lot of sense, but it was a long, strange, worthwhile trip all the same.
