PAPA's Music to Get Super Weird in the Desert To

by  |  October 18, 2013

PAPA's Darren Weiss and Danny Presant bring together vocals reminiscent of Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner, along with sounds somewhere between modern indie players Phoenix and The Kooks and classic rockers Bruce Springsteen and Tom Petty. But it seems their musical tastes are much broader than that.

About their "Music to Get Super Weird in the Desert To" playlist: "This is a mix for when you're feeling a cocktail of emotions ranging from strange to sexual. It is preferred that you listen to it at night. There's nothing sexier than the desert, so grab a romantic friend and take a trip through some barren land and crank this. The Desert Sessions version of Queens of the Stone Age's "I Wanna Make It Wit Chu" is one of the sexiest recordings of all time. I dare you to not feel it in your loins."

With this awesome playlist, we'd hope to be stranded in the Mojave with these two.
