Pitchfork Music Festival 2014
by Dan Weiss | May 31, 2014
Pitchfork's annual music festival has long proven itself to be both eclectic and ahead of the game. This year's installment features legends as disparate as Beck (straight off his surprise journeyman success Morning Phase), Neutral Milk Hotel (over 15 years since their Anne Frank-based concept landmark In the Aeroplane Over the Sea) and Pusha T (still vying for both indie rockers' and rap radio's hearts). Astounding newer talents like tUnE-yArDs, Cloud Nothings and Danny Brown represent the current forefront of groundbreaking music, while the inclusion of the just-getting-started likes of FKA Twigs and Factory Floor gives us a preview of what the music industry could be abuzz with next year.
