Rhapsody Radar 2013: Week 1
by Rhapsody | September 30, 2013
Welcome to Rhapsody Radar, our annual series dedicated to helping you discover a wide array of fresh new artists we've come to love. After much deliberation, the Rhapsody editorial team has trimmed down our list to two dozen up-and-comers, artists that are quickly gaining steam among the indie, rap, pop, country and electronic elite. For each of the next four weeks, we'll compile a playlist that features six of the artists, and each day we'll also dedicate a post and a playlist to one of those artists. In our first week, we explore the stomping country of Maggie Rose; the hook-crafty pop of three-sisters-and-a-drummer group HAIM; the genre-bending soul of Denmark duo Quadron; the whiskey-soaked country of Tyler Farr; the cutting-edge electro-pop of Icona Pop pal Charli XCX; and the candid lyrical flow of hip-hop enigma Ka. We've got playlists and exclusive videos as well, including an intimate studio session with Quadron. Sample each of these artists in the appended playlist. Please enjoy, and for the next month, tune in each week for six new artists to discover, enjoy and impress your friends with.
