Rhapsody Radar 2013: Week 3
by Stephanie Benson | October 14, 2013
Welcome to Rhapsody Radar, our annual month-long series dedicated to helping you discover a wide array of fresh new artists we've come to love. After much deliberation, the Rhapsody editorial team has trimmed down our list to two dozen up-and-comers, artists that are quickly gaining steam among the indie, rap, pop, country and electronic elite. In our third week, we explore the nostalgic house jams of L.A. duo Classixx; the gorgeous old-time blues and bluegrass of Memphis songbird Valerie June; the poignant dream pop of London trio Daughter; the rowdy, bombastic synth-punk of Danish band New Politics; the vibrant EDM party anthems of Chicago crew Krewella; and the gorgeous soul and jazz pop of British singer Laura Mvula. We've got playlists and exclusive videos as well, including an intimate studio session with Daughter (don't miss their Bon Iver/Hot Chip mash-up!). Sample each of these artists in the appended playlist. Please enjoy, and tune in next week for six new artists to discover, enjoy and impress your friends with.
