Rhapsody Radar 2013: Week 4
by Rhapsody | October 21, 2013
Welcome to Rhapsody Radar, our annual month-long series dedicated to helping you discover a wide array of fresh new artists we've come to love. After much deliberation, the Rhapsody editorial team has trimmed down our list to two dozen up-and-comers, artists that are quickly gaining steam among the indie, rap, pop, country and electronic elite. In our final week, we explore the emo-pop/rap amalgam of Twenty One Pilots; the twanging country jams of family affair The Henningsens; the rich, eccentric retro soul of Kendra Morris; the moody, supple, trip-hop-inspired sounds of London Grammar; the candid, confident R&B of K. Michelle; and the pop-leaning turntablism of French quartet C2C. We've got playlists and exclusive videos as well, including an intimate studio session with Kendra Morris, who does an incredible cover of Bettye LaVette's "Cry Me a River." Sample each of these artists in the appended playlist, and dig into the entire month of Rhapsody Radar coverage here.
