Rhapsody Radar: Exclusive Sessions
by Rhapsody TV | October 30, 2013
Rhapsody Radar is our annual month-long series dedicated to helping you discover a wide array of fresh new artists we've come to love. After much deliberation, the Rhapsody editorial team trimmed down our list to two dozen up-and-comers, artists that are quickly gaining steam among the indie, rap, pop, country and electronic elite. From there, we chose four of those artists to join us in the studio to record fresh new versions of one of their own tracks along with a cover of their choice. We've collected them all here: Discover K.Flay's smart, experimental hip-hop, and don't miss her exceptional cover of Beck's "Devils Haircut"; luxuriate in the rich, eccentric retro soul of Kendra Morris, who covers Bettye LaVette's "Cry Me a River"; enjoy the sultry downtempo soul of Danish duo Quadron; and fall in love with London group Daughter, whose mash-up of Bon Iver's "Perth" and Hot Chip's "Ready for the Floor" is downright gorgeous.
