South American Hipsters
by Rachel Devitt | June 15, 2013
South America is awash in hipsters, indie punks, artsy types and other varieties of cool kids. At least, that's what our ears tell us, after hearing album after album of killer indie rock, electro-pop, disco-punk and underground hip-hop out of chic locales like Chile, Argentina and Brazil. OK, OK, we know: the hipsters have taken over pretty much every corner of the world at this point. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't take time to get to know the critically acclaimed, seriously innovative and, yes, extremely cool work of hip kids like Ana Tijoux, La Vida Boheme, Curumin, Bomba Estereo and more!
