Every year approximately 8 billion bands descend on Austin, Tex., for the week-long live-music extravaganza known as South by Southwest, which hits every nightclub, parking lot, street corner, pop-up store, flatbed truck, empty field and hotel bathroom in town. This year's fete looks to be the grandest, hugest yet, roping in everyone from Yeah Yeah Yeahs to Baauer, Killer Mike to Disclosure, Flaming Lips to Foxygen, Marnie Stern to Icona Pop. Here's an attempt to sum it all up in three hours or so. Prepare yourself. It's gonna be awesome.
