The World of Vince Gill
by Nick Murray | July 31, 2013
It may have been 18 years since he won his last Male Vocalist of the Year award, but Vince Gill is aging as well as any country singer of his generation: He's making his regular Opry appearances, producing tunes for up-and-comers like Brandy Clark and Ashley Monroe, and even collecting the stray Grammy, as he did for 2007's four-disc set These Days. On the occasion of his new Bakersfield -- a collaborative tribute to the music of Buck Owens and Merle Haggard -- we've combed Gill's discography for a selection of his best tunes. It all begins in the 1970s with the Pure Prairie League and continues up to the present day.
