Top 10 Christian Albums, April 2013
by Wendy Lee Nentwig | April 12, 2013
What would a month in Christian music be without a new batch of worship releases? Favorites from recent weeks include a new studio project from Hillsong United and a live collection from Darlene Zschech -- both recorded stateside by these Aussie natives. Passion also produced their annual project, recorded during their yearly New Year's conference for college kids. The crowd numbered 60,000+, which adds up to a lot of background voices on this live disc.
Pop and rock are well represented, too, with I Am Empire's sophomore project showing maturity, and Josh Wilson showcasing his prowess as a singer-songwriter. We also met aptly named newcomers All Things New, acquainted ourselves with a new Hawk Nelson lineup and met a reborn Audio Adrenaline (hello, Kevin Max!). Meanwhile, Plumb's hair changed, but her sound (thankfully) remained the same, and Jason Crabb successfully dipped his toe in the pop world while reassuring fans he'll never forsake his Southern gospel roots. Enjoy.
