Top 20 Indie Albums, March 2014
by Stephanie Benson | March 27, 2014
Time for another round of new indie albums -- this time featuring an array of dreamy heartland rock (The War on Drugs), anthemic New Wave (Future Islands), distorted darkwave (Liars), breezy indie pop (Real Estate) and more. And alongside those more established names are newer artists pushing their way to indie stardom in decidedly fiery fashion, most notably female-fronted punk band Perfect Pussy, English post-punks Eagulls, swirling shoegazers Nothing, and Danish alt-dance-pop newcomer Mø. We've also got new albums from the prolific, ever-changing indie darlings The Men, slick electro-pop hitmakers Foster the People, and U.K. synth-pop underdogs Wild Beasts, as well as solo outings from Broken Social Scene's Kevin Drew and Galaxie 500's Dean Wareham. And there's even more from there. Dig in!
