World Cup Winners and Losers

by Judy Cantor-Navas  |  June 8, 2014

The 2010 official World Cup song, Shakira's "Waka Waka," was a huge global hit. But the anthem from the same year, R. Kelly's "Sign of a Victory," never got off the bench. Since 1962, the official FIFA World Cup songs and anthems have been recorded with the intention of making stadiums sing, spirits rise and radio programmers react.
