Bob Seger

The musical equivalent of Old Faithful, the denim-wrapped embodiment of what your grandpa would call "gumption," Bob Seger is back with his first album of new material in 10 years. For better or worse, not much has changed -- balladish first single "Wait for Me" updates "You'll Accompany Me," and burners like "No Matter Who You Are" and the title track are flag-waving anthems of American reliability. You gotta give it up to the Seeg -- his electric/acoustic blues rock feels as classic today as it did 25 years ago.
