Raitt chose to experiment a little on her 16th album. It's the first release where she handled the production chores, and she also eschews her trademark easy blues for a more soulful approach. The resulting 11 tracks are more heartfelt than her previous work, especially "I Will Not Be Broken" and "So Close."
