Vice magazine's media empire might epitomize Brooklyn-bred hipster shenanigans, but we do have to bow down and smooch their retro Nikes for reissuing the Boredoms' Super Roots series. Originally released in 1993, the first installment explodes with the kind of electro noise-punk freakery typical of Pop Tatari-era Boredoms. So don't expect the neon space-rock of Super ae; this stuff is all about a bunch of weirdos who know how to make sonic temper tantrums sound like deadly kiddie pop.
