Boyz N Da Hood

About

Atlanta crew Boyz N Da Hood emerged seemingly from nowhere in the summer of 2005, storming urban radio with their introductory anthem "Dem Boyz." Comprised of Young Jeezy, Jody Breeze, Duke and Big Gee, the group was assembled by Sho' Nuff Records co-owner and Block Entertainment CEO Russell "Block" Spencer, (who marketed them as a Dirty South version of gangsta rap icons NWA) and eventually signed to P. Diddy's Bad Boy South label. Their self-titled debut album, loaded with crunk beats and criminal-minded verses, hit stores in June of 2005.
