Bruce Cockburn

Although there is a picture of a flaming telephone on this album, Bruce Cockburn's surname is pronounced just like that of the late actor James Coburn's, so grow up already. Cockburn's seminal urban folk style manages to wax political without being smug, romantic without getting sappy and environmental without coming off preachy. A sullen sounding Ani DiFranco lends her harmonies on the mellow and rhythmic "See You Tomorrow." Cockburn's 29th album (you read that correctly) finds him at the top of his game.
