Bullet For My Valentine

As promised by the band, this lead single from Bullet For My Valentine's second album boasts a much heavier sound, even blacker shades of, uh, black, and less of the emo-ness of their beginnings. While they still sing with those harmonies Orange County kids invented, there are moments during "Scream, Aim, Fire" that sound impressively like Metallica. This is a good sign for massive-selling radio metal. "Eye of the Storm" furthers the cause of pure loudness.
