Burning Brides

Sometimes the Burning Brides' third full-length seems a bit tongue-in-cheek -- from the spectacle of singer Dimitri Coats swingin' from a noose on the cover (literal, this bunch) to the tortured howling that dominates the full-throttle rockers. But their rep as a soft-core Murder City Devils goes out the window when "She Comes To Me" advises us to "fight the goodly fight." The highlights come with the hardest rockers: "Ring Around The Rosary" (zing!), "Your Nation Will Die" and the sludgy title cut.
