Burt Bacharach

1967's Reach Out was Bacharach's second record, and it's a great mixture of song and schmaltz. Largely vocal-free (save for the fluttering background vocalists), the album leaves you to marvel at the perfect simplicity of Bacharach's pop songs and to enjoy them in this cocktail jazz setting. "What The World…" is a typical stunner, as is "I Say A Little Prayer."
