Busdriver recasts Los Angeles as an apocalyptic landscape of art-school dilettantes, sly French seductresses, enflamed egos and yuppie scum. The dexterous emcee threads Dadaist verbal diarrhea over the production's slow, dramatic build. The "club mix" might get bodies moving in a Tralfamadorian zoo, while Canadian producer Cadence Weapon fractures Busdriver's voice, strips away the dance-punk embellishments and foregrounds the beat for his remix.
