Buzzcocks

The Buzzcocks were signed after their self-released demos became a surprise hit in punk rock-mad Britain. This vibrant set collects those initial Buzzcocks versions and a slew of other early cuts, showcasing their special mix of pop smarts, sensitive lyrics and art-rock experimentation. A blast to listen to, though possibly only grumpy, fast-aging punks and garage-rock purists will prefer these rough cuts to the polished diamonds that appear on their proper albums. The entire band is in hysterics as they perform a sensitive piano-ballad entitled "Mother of Turds."
