Cam'ron

There are moments on Killa Season when Cam'ron comes across as a little too tough, like Yosemite Sam. Even when the Harlem emcee attempts to touch the heart, he draws blood. But as long as you know what you're getting into, it's brilliant. "You Gotta Love It" (Cam's Jay Z dis) and "Touch It or Not" seethe bluster and testosterone, and are buoyed by Cam's hypnotizing wordplay. Though less cohesive than the near-classic Purple Haze, there's still enough heat here to declare it straight piff.
