Carolina Rain

For three guys who play guitar, mandolin and banjo, Carolina Rain's debut album sure sounds like there's a lot more going on. Their flawless vocal harmonies are so Beach Boy-esque in their tight closeness that it sometimes sounds like there are four or five guys singing. And with ample help from some of Nashville's finest studio guns, songs like "I Ain't Scared" elevate the trio's gospel bluegrass sound to more innovative strum 'n' bass plateaus. "That's Alright with Me" sounds like what the Eagles' 1994 reunion should have been.
