Rhapsody

Few composers have embraced atonality as fully as Wuorinen, so if the music initially seems off-putting, give it a moment. In the same way that 20 minutes into a Shakespeare production the "strangeness" of the language disappears and the poetry shines through, so it is here as well. Wuorinen's in the textbooks for good reason.
