Chet Baker

A young Robert Altman made a documentary on St. Dean shortly after his death, wisely hiring West Coast jazz stalwarts Johnny Mandel and Leith Stevens to a compose and arrange a very cool (in all senses of the word) score featuring Chet Baker and Bud Shank. It ends with Baker's vocal version of "Let Me Be Loved" -- a thematic summation and link between all three of Dean's films.
