Chick Corea

Crystal Silence, from 1972, started a long artistic association between pianist Chick Corea and vibraphonist Gary Burton. On this 2008 double-disc set, the two show that their musical bond has only grown richer over the decades. The first disc captures a live recording with the Sydney Symphony. The second disc, also live, strips off all rhythmic support and finds the two responding only to each other (they seem to find a musical solution to every situation). These richly rewarding sessions showcase two musicians who continue to bring out the best in each other.
