Read-Along Stories

Before children begin to read for themselves, their first personal book and music experiences often stem from read-along stories. Children can listen to the recorded story and turn the page ("after you hear the sound of the bell"), gaining an early relationship between the way words sound and the way they appear on the page. Read-along stories help bridge the gap between words and images, and have functioned as an educational tool for generations.
