Chris Cox

About

Los Angeles' Chris Cox belongs to that city's league of overachievers. Formerly a member of the remix and production team Thunderpuss, he's credited with 41 No. 1 hits on the Billboard dance charts and a Grammy nomination for Cher's 2004 song "Love One Another." His XM satellite mix show, 12 Inches of Cox, runs every Saturday night. Working alongside BBC Radio 1 DJ Pete Tong, he released "More Intensity" and "Deep End" in 2005 and 2006. But all that studio time hasn't kept him from building a rep as a popular club DJ.

His mix albums, such as 12 Inches of Cox and Provocative Trance, showcase his crowd-pleasing brand of trance, bringing together artists like Creamer and K, Dirty Vegas, Moby and Peter Rauhofer. As might be expected from a producer who has remixed Christina Aguilera, Janet Jackson, Britney Spears and Rihanna, Cox is a pop-lover at heart, and he peppers his mixes with hits from INXS and Daft Punk.
