Chris Knox

Knox is one of the great unknown but important figures in the evolution of indie rock and has been since the early 1980s. His 2000 release demonstrates his expertise in creating the most involving, intricate pop songs out of the sparest of elements. "The Man in the Crowd" is a stirring folk ramble that's as inspired as any of the best work he did with the Tall Dwarfs.
