Forget Harold Faltermeyer -- this "Axel F" is all about the sounds created by a 17-year-old Swedish boy. Starting out as an imitation of his friends' souped-up mopeds, Daniel Malmedahl's "ding-dings" have since been put to animation, turned into ringtones (which netted $15m) and are now -- love it or hate it -- a hit single.
