The opening track to Curtis Mayfield's famed Superfly soundtrack gets slowed down and submerged in layers of creeping sonic dread. King Britt's instrumental approach is different from Mayfield's original (which is as bright as the lyrics are dark), but it's still another avenue worth exploring.
