About

Curve exploded in the early '90s with mighty My Bloody Valentine guitar squall under torrential dance beats. Toni Halliday's bitter, venomous vocals always come from the far distance, cutting through the band's aggressive cacophony with a sound that is both dreamy and nightmarish. The rhythms are provided by bludgeoning percussion, and they have to be. Curve's tracks are full of so much stridor that anything short of explosive blasts couldn't be heard. They later incorporated a more Industrial sound into their aesthetic by using stiff beat programming, heavy synths and crisper production, but they maintain an overwhelmingly hypnotic cross of dance beats and droning noise.
