Though live albums are a rarity in the world of hip-hop, and some would say that Cypress Hill's best days are far behind them, this record is surprisingly great. B-Real, Sen Dog, and Muggs sound exceptional in the famed San Francisco club, bringing a raw energy missing from some of their later studio efforts. Includes all the hits, and newer, rock-tinged jams as well.

Although Cypress Hill's 1991 debut coincided with the birth of gangsta rap, there was
always something -- the skull logos, the ganja and, more recently, a live guitar, bass and
drums -- that made them a rock band. Releasing a live album recorded in a venue
associated more with the Grateful Dead than with N.W.A would seem to confirm this.
