Don't feel silly if you check your internet connection while listening to this blip hop album: the chopped, flanged effect is intended. Though Midwest producer Dabrye has crafted a classic in jerky boom bap, amazingly connecting the dots between J. Dilla and Prefuse 73, he can't take full credit for this album's greatness. The guest roster reads like a who's who of indie hip-hop emcees. MF Doom pops up for some "Air," while Wildchild takes "The Stand." Guilty Simpson proves why he's "Special," and Waajeed applies a little "Pressure."
