Daddy Yankee

The soundtrack to Daddy Yankee's quasi-autobiographical, 8 Mile-esque debut film Talento de Barrio is, simply put, pure fire. It is signature Daddy Yankee -- breakneck flow, gritty lyrics, irresistible rhythms and some serrrriously rolled Rs. "Somos de Calle" is a caserio manifesto draped in all manner of hip-hop swagger. "Pose" gallops along at a frenetic pace and beckons the ladies to make love to the camera. "Pa-Kumpa!!" announces his triumphant return -- "Tu sabes que you hago falta, " which translates to "You know you've missed me" -- over a thumping bassline that will battering-ram its way into your chest.
