Dave Koz

Smooth jazz saxophonist Dave Koz returns after an extended recording absence for this tribute to some of the greatest film themes of all time. Smartly produced by Phil Ramone, the disc adds audio clips from classic movies (like Casablanca ) to Koz and his all-star guests (who include Vanessa Williams, Johnny Mathis and India.Arie). Even with the vocal firepower, the instrumentals often come off best, with Koz playing with more fire than usual on "The Pink Panther" and trumpeter Chris Botti joining in for the second version of "The Shadow of Your Smile."
